Celebrating 90 Years – April 16, 2026

The Stanwood-Camano AAUW branch will celebrate 90 years this month. In honor of the anniversary of our founding, each month our newsletter will feature articles in which we reminisce and also look forward to the future. Our Communications Team has planned a series of articles highlighting our journey through the years. We will reprint articles written by our historians and also focus on the service provided by our members with emphasis on the past 20 years. Join us as we celebrate this milestone throughout the coming year.

Purses with Purses is our 7th biennial event and our main source of fundraising for our scholarships. At publication, a little more than half of the 144 available tickets have been sold. We must sell ALL of them to hit our goal for awarding three scholarships with the hope we can offer a higher award than $7000. Invite friends and family who share our goal to raise these mightily important funds. You can volunteer to help and be a “staff bid-only” bidder if you want to bid during the Silent Auction or purchase tickets for our two fantastic raffles: Italy and Hawaii!

Our Nominating Committee has been established to find officers for 2026-27. We are grateful for their time and effort. Please consider serving your branch through your leadership to make our branch very successful in creating community and supporting young women seeking to further their educations.
