Our major biennial fundraiser, Purses with Purpose, was April 25, 2026 to raise funds for our branch scholarship fund for the next two years.

Scholarships serve the Stanwood, Camano Island, Arlington, Lakewood and La Conner communities.

Due to the generosity of our community, our AAUW branch also supports camperships for entering 8th grade girls from the Stanwood, Camano Island, Arlington, and Lakewood middle school to attend the AAUW Tech Trek week-long resident science camp in July. Girls experience living in the dorms of a Seattle university, hands-on science, field trips, and presentations by women in science during the evening program.

Proceeds also cover our yearly contribution to the AAUW national organization.

Check out the photo gallery from this year’s event and the list of 2026 community donors.
