Greetings during this warm, beautiful time of the year!  Our AAUW branch begins a new program season this month with the new president – me!  I look forward to joining you at our monthly meetings (with terrific programs!) and working with you as we, both, fundraise through Purses with Purpose and execute our Tech Trek, STEM Scholars and College Scholarship programs. 

The past and present board and committee lead members gathered at my house in August to form our understanding of “all things” our branch accomplished over the last year and goals for the coming year. 

Our board and committee leads are filled except for VP Finance-elect.  New this year—we need a committee to manage the sweet and savory treats at meetings and the food and drink for the May and June gatherings. 

We will experience the reflections of our Tech Trek campers at our September meeting.  Looking forward, we will discuss whether or not to hold a Candidates Forum in October, what work is needed to create an extraordinary Purses with Purpose event in April, and determine what help is needed to create successful programs for young women as they move toward their educational goals.

Our organization has smart, lovely women who have joined AAUW for many different reasons.  As we evolve as an organization, many of you have contributed time and energy to keep us moving forward.  Please know we always need you to volunteer!  May the year ahead bring you satisfaction and joy as you offer what you have to our branch!
